Wellbeing student support services

The Wellbeing Team facilitate and support a range of proactive, preventative and early intervention programs across the school. Below are some examples of the health, wellbeing and inclusion programs scheduled during the year:

Individual counselling for students

friendship challenges, family change, mental health, motivation.

Breakfast Club

every Tuesday morning at 8:00 am. Sponsored by Food Bank.

Peer Support

Year 10 peer support leaders mentor Year 7 students through their high school transition.

RAISE community mentoring

targeting our Year 8 cohort, RAISE provides young people with a caring, independent volunteer mentor who shows up each week to listen and support the student they are matched with.

EAL and International student support

Support for students in managing their transition and adjustment to a new school system, as well as advice about how to access local health supports.

Wellbeing Hub lunchtime activities

Mindful Art, Lego, LGBTQIA+ rainbow club, EAL social club.

Health and Wellbeing theme days

Whole school approach to promote health and wellbeing on key theme days such as International Women’s Day, IDAHOBIT Day, NAIDOC Week, R U OK Day, and many more.

Referral to external services

Referral to external support services and specialist assessment/treatment services

Student Support Group

Group meetings with parents and young people regarding any learning, behavioural, social or emotional concerns they have.

Support for financial hardship

Support for students experiencing financial hardship.
