Box Hill High School Sustainability Program

The Sustainability Club at Box Hill High School is a thriving group where students raise awareness about environmental issues and environmentally friendly practices across the school community.

Students are given opportunities to contribute to recycling programs, eco-friendly projects, and waste reduction initiatives, helping to make a positive impact on the environment.

Through the club, students and teachers work together to host fundraising events, organise Container Deposit Scheme (CDS) collections, and run campaigns that raise awareness about issues such as power consumption and waste reduction. These activities not only encourage the whole school community to become actively involved in sustainable practices but also help generate funds to support the club’s ongoing projects.

Overall, the Sustainability Club is a space where students and teachers work together to solve practical problems within the school and raise awareness in creative ways, all with the shared goal of building a greener future and a more sustainable school community.
