Box Hill High Students Celebrated at Duke of Edinburgh Gold Award Reception

Duke of Ed 1

Box Hill High School is proud to celebrate the outstanding achievements of three past and present students who were recognised at the Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award Gold Level Reception, held at Government House on Thursday 4 June.

Hosted by Her Excellency Professor the Honourable Margaret Gardner AC, Governor of Victoria, the prestigious event honoured young people who have demonstrated exceptional commitment, perseverance and leadership in completing the Award’s highest level.

Congratulations to Rohan MR, Amiya C and Sabrina L, who each received their Gold Level Award – an incredible accomplishment that reflects years of dedication, personal growth and service to the community.

Adding to this remarkable achievement, all three recipients have served, or are currently serving, as School Captains of Box Hill High School, highlighting their ongoing commitment to leadership both within and beyond the school.

A special congratulations goes to current School Captain Rohan MR, who was selected as the only award recipient to deliver a speech following Her Excellency’s address. Rohan spoke with confidence and authenticity, sharing his Duke of Edinburgh journey and the personal growth he experienced through the program.

On behalf of the entire Box Hill High School community, we congratulate Rohan, Amiya and Sabrina on this exceptional achievement. They are outstanding ambassadors for the Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award and exemplify the values of leadership, resilience and service that make our school community so proud.
