About our school

Box Hill High School has a long history of welcoming international students into the school community and is proud of our record of providing a supportive and engaging environment for our many students from overseas. The school is a school made up of over 1500 hundred students from a large number of cultural backgrounds and cultural diversity is a source of strength for the school.

Box Hill High School is well-serviced by public transport and only a short walk away from a vibrant hub of shops, restaurants and services. We actively promote a sense of belonging and provide a strong support network for our international students including a full-time dedicated International Student Coordinator, the Year Level Coordinators, Heads of Sub-school, the Student Wellbeing Team, Multicultural Educational Support Staff (Mandarin speaking), and the Principal Team.

Our international students have opportunities to engage in the wider school community, including lunchtime clubs, school sporting carnivals, cultural theme days, excursions and camps, student leadership roles including a dedicated Year 12 Prefect position, music and performing arts.

Box Hill High School is an accredited International Student Program provider and meets the compliance requirements for quality education in the Victorian public education system.
