FOPA

Friends of Performing Arts

Box Hill High School Friends of the Performing Arts (FOPA) was formed in 2006 to encourage students and teachers to develop and showcase their creative talents.

Today, more than 50 parents, teachers and other interested parties are involved, contributing their various skills and experience, and attending occasional meetings to brainstorm future activities.

We support all aspects of the performing arts at the school, including music, dance, acting, singing, technical and administrative skills.  Our involvement typically includes volunteering to help back stage and Front of House, making and buying costumes and sets for musical and drama productions, and assisting with transport and coordination of music performances.

The school productions are not only a fun-filled learning experience for our students and parents, they provide an opportunity for the social development of our school community.

A committed and involved school community is vital to the success of our school and our plans for rebuilding our facilities.  FOPA is keenly seeking to play our part in ensuring this occurs.

FOPA welcomes new members.  If you have been inspired and excited by our school productions, and would like to contribute your enthusiasm, creative ideas, technical or administration skills, then please join us and have some fun.
