End-of-Year Camps

Our end of year camping program at Box Hill High School lends itself to being activity and enjoyment based, while introducing the students to educational and social experiences in a different setting to their normal school environment.  These camps will be held during the week beginning Monday 7th December 2009.

Camps are an integral part of the growing-up and maturity process that provides students with many life-long skills and memories.

In the past, many students have made immense changes in just one week of a school camp. Students, who may have had trouble at school, often excel in the camp situation and they gain a new positive attitude toward their schooling. Often a camp is the vehicle to a newfound confidence, which can greatly assist and motivate students in their academic work.

The camps are highly recommended for all students in the school during this week and are open for any senior students to attend. At that time of year, all years 7, 8 and 9 are at school. All other students in years 10, 11 and 12 are welcome to attend. The camps are optional for students and if they choose not to attend a camp then they will participate in the tutorial program at school.
