School Athletics Sports - Tuesday 21st July 2009

Box Hill High School’s interschool athletics carnival will be held on Tuesday 21st July. Students must make their own way to the venue. THEY DO NOT COME TO SCHOOL FIRST. They can be dropped at the track or catch the train to Box Hill station and walk 10 minutes from there. Ms Cohen and Ms Ind will meet students at 8.10am at the station platform exit to walk students to the track for those who are not sure where to go. Maps for the location are up around the school.

Box Hill Athletic Track (Same track as previous years), Hagenauers Reserve, Barwon St, Box Hill, Melways Ref 47 C7

Students must report immediately to their form teacher at 8.50 am and rolls will be taken. Form teachers will take the roll again before students are dismissed from the track at the end of the day (approx 3:00 pm).

The day is a compulsory school day and all students are required to attend. Students are strongly encouraged to wear appropriate house colours but may also wear school or PE uniform.

Competitors - Where competitors have a clash of events, please check in with the field event, so they know your intention to compete, then go to your track event on time - they cannot wait for you if you are late.

There will be novelty events for those who do not wish to compete in the track or field events. All competitors in every event will earn points for their house. Ensure you have plenty of warm clothes as it can be quite cold at the track.

There will be a canteen open during the day or students can bring their own lunch and drinks.
